I Just Want To Watch Star Trek. (a complaint)

Me trying to watch TV.

It's bad enough that in order to simply watch TV now you have to pay for multiple premium subscriptions.  What used to be just channels on your dial are now separate individual monthly purchases you have to pay for.  And the benefit to "cutting the cord" was not having commercials but those are fucking back too.  We truly are living if not in but on the very beginnings of a full on dystopia. I just want to watch Star Trek.

There's something super fucked up about the home for a science fiction franchise about a hopeful, socialist, Utopian future is on the streaming platform owned by an evil corporation with the exact opposite values. It's totally fucked that I cancelled my Paramount account to exercise my right to protest only for them to buy up the competition is exactly why we have monopoly laws.  Now I have way less boycott power as a citizen.   When we were in school they taught us all about antitrust laws and how we had to curb the power of millionaires like Rockefeller but today we have people like Musk and Bezos and several other near-trillionaires being allowed to run rampant.  All because a bunch of brainwashed idiots gave Rockefeller and his friends full control of the government.  Nothing matters anymore. They just say "BUT WHY CANT WE JUST KEEP MAKING MONEY!?!?!?" and our psychopath of a leader and the sycophants in the other branches of govt just allow it to happen.

The reason you shouldn't just be allowed to buy every company and just keep making money is because now I have to cancel HBO and Discovery too.  My choices are dwindling. They have less competition to keep them from raising prices.  It's fucked up and I hate it.  Laws don't matter anymore.  If you want to watch Star Trek without supporting evil media corporations or have any hope for a future anywhere close to what is portrayed on that show, please vote.  This billionaire circle-jerk needs to fucking stop.

For completely unrelated reasons I'll be taking recommendations for a good VPN.
