LOST is coming

I get spam from one of the Lost boards i signed up with. And usually its bullshit but this time it started to get my jaded juices flowing about Lost again. here's the article in its entirety. (i would have rewritten it in my own witty words but this thing is pretty right on.

In less than four weeks LOST will finally resume its third season with sixteen back-to-back, rerun free weeks of forays into the islands deepest mysteries. What an opportune time to check the score-card! What vital mysteries remain from season one? Will these items be answered once and for all, or will the LOST producers continue to find clever ways to keep us away from the truth... 1. The Cable - The discovery of the cable is probably the first appearance of Dharma equipment on the island, or is it? While the cable indeed led Sayid in the general direction of that maniacal hermit Danielle, where the cable came from, as well as its purpose, remain a mystery. Many argue, from subsequent episodes - particularly 'Numbers' - that the cable is Danielle's power supply, but in reality it seems to terminate quite a ways away from the whack-a-do's camp. Is it a communications cable? Does it go to an underwater hatch? Maybe we'll find out this season. 2. How Locke was paralyzed. They say we will finally know this year. Personally, I think it has something to do with those two apes that were after Locke's daddy. But we will definitely find out soon. 3. Why was the pilot killed instantly? He seemed like a good guy, why did smokey make such a snap judgment on him? Were others killed that we didn't know about? Was the pilot connected to the crash? 4. What are the whispers? They seem to be more prominent when the others are around, and sometimes they mimic voices from the characters pasts. Are they part of an all new force we haven't seen? A symptom of the sickness? Time will, or will not, tell. 5. Where is the radio tower? And more importantly, why wasn't Sayid digging through the Swan stations trash for the components needed to amplify that puppy and radio their way to freedom. For some reason, all the Losties seem totally disinterested in tracking the tower down, probably their best chance for communicating with the outside world. Will we finally see the tower this season? 6. What is with the watches? The reason Jin and Sun, presumably, were on the plan was to deliver watches for Sun's daddy. The mission was so important, that in the finale we saw how Sun's dad dispatched a goon in a bad Hawaiian shirt to ensure that Jin complete his mission - or else. Are the watches out of the game? 7. How did Charlie end up on the beach? In fact, Charlie strapped himself in near the cockpit, which we know crashed a few miles inland, so how did he get to the beach? 8. How did Jack wind up so far away from the other survivors? Jack was belted in, so how did he land hundreds of feet away? And more importantly, how could he survive being thrown that far? 9. Who are Adam and Eve? Why did they have black and white stones in little pouches? Could it be that they are merely a visual cue for how long humans have been becoming stranded there? Or do the stones represent a greater purpose? That's all I have for season one. Anybody want to tack on some season two mysteries in comments?

Well, last night i made an impulse descision to take the 3rd installment of the Photoshop/Digital Imaging class at DVC. Meg is taking a Business/Accounting class on Thursday nights so I looked through the available classes for Thursday night i might be into and there it was so i said fuck it and registered.

This is a course that builds on the intermediate concepts of digital imaging. the course description sounds like this one goes into illustrator and animation, and its a different teacher.. so i think it might be cool.

Ice, Fish and god damned Carrie Underwood

if you know me, you know i have an opinion on pretty much everything. usually based in some kind of invented fact that helps my argument.

here's a couple that came up in recent conversation..

On Ice in soda.
rita: and I have a Coke ZERO, on ice
kirk: i think im gonna stop getting ice... im not a fan
rita: no ice? I have to have ice
kirk: it displaces valuable volume of the glass.. and when melted waters down the drink..when you're finished with the drink you have a cup of useless ice. and also it makes my teeth hurt.
kirk: i dont mind tepid soda
rita: ahhh, you are sensitive to cold
kirk: room temp is usually cool enough

on Carrie Underwood
rita: my parakeet Alice hates Carrie Underwood, by the way
kirk: Alice and i would get along well... i hated Carrie Underwood since she went on Idol. its not American COUNTRY Idol. theres like 5 other stupid country star wanna be shows she could go on.

On stationary pets.
rita: yeah, she is a cool bird she clicks when she doesn't like music and she sings when its good
kirk: not a huge bird fan tho
rita: well, she's not a huge bird so thats cool
kirk: i have something against pets that are for the most part stationary..
fish and birds are basically furniture
kirk: i have an aquarium screen saver.. its basically the same thing.. cept i don't have to feed it and the water never stinks
rita: She is actually pretty mobile
kirk: mobile birds are ok i guess.

thats all for now.

Hello Paula!

OK so I'm leaning towards some kind of disability for Paula Abdul. I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. below is a clip from our local TV morning show of her being interviewed and the host said in the middle of the interview.. "do you always wiggle around like that, you're moving all over the place" she just replied "im a dancer, im doing my dance moves" as if she's aware that shes doing it and making excuses. someone who was drunk or on drugs wouldn't be that aware of it to make an excuse for it

here's the clip

anyway, same ol' Idol The messed up thing is that they put them there on purpose. During the preliminary auditions when theres thousands of assholes trying out they weed out the mediocre. A friend of a friend who can sing pretty good tried out in Hawaii... they told him he was good but not good enough for the TV auditions... and also said he wasnt bad enough for the TV auditions either. so its kind of fucked up when they know the people think they are good but really suck get their hopes up even more when they let them through to the TV auditions and then have Simon rip them a new one. its one thing trying out and being told you arent good but to have producers lead you on is wrong in my opinion.

its getting less entertaining each season. i hear they let Simon and Randy rip on mentally challenged people next week. Notice i didnt say Paula? Not because she's the "nice one" but because she's so out of her mind they pan away from her even when she's talking. most of the time last night she just nodded with her hands in her face. something's up for sure.

this guy didnt make it on tv, but check out his shirt... old school Randy Jackson dawg!! this guy rocks!

here's some more Paula interviews where she appears drunk, high or showing symptoms of some kind of disablility.

pooptacular!

we had some friends over to watch Talladega Nights last night. Sarah made brownies and Andrea brought over her new puppy. After she took it out to do its business he fell asleep.. and we started smelling this smell.. we all thought the dog farted.. but it smelled like fresh shit to me... when we got up to see our other friend out we saw where the shit smell was from. she got it on the side of her shoe.. it was scraped off onto our coffee table and she sat with her foot under her other leg so it was all on the couch too.. and the carpet. it was a shit fest!

She had stepped in George's shit mine field on the patio. she thought it was just dried tree stuff, so yea it was pretty shitty.

sorry no pics. use your imagination.

the youngness

i was at my parents and I stole a few old pics from when i was a young'n.
enjoy the hilarity!

as a wee tike with my dad. i think i ate sand this day. theres another pic with sand all up in my grill but i couldn't find it. sorry.

thats me on the right. i told you i used to skate.
me in the middle. we thought this pic was gonna look so cool when we set it up. we were lame.

this is me and my best friend jer showing off our Civil War money and crack.. i mean rock candy at Fort Point SF. this is around when i turned into a fat kid.

and this... this is the photo that ended up in my High School Yearbook for my senior picture. the parents opted for the one in the cap n gown.
what a hot stud i was, I'd do me.

My gumholes are ok!

so all weekend i was freaking out thinking is sucked out my blood plugs. I did a search for Dry Socket and started comparing symptoms. I was sure i had dry socket or some kind of infection when i went in for my follow up today. Of course i was wrong. my holes are healing just fine. the pain and soreness i'm feeling, he said has a lot to do with him having my mouth stretched open like a 18 yr old at a porn audition for an hour. so i'm fine. Cant help feeling like Ren in this classic Ren & Stimpy episode.
every kid that hates brushing their teeth should watch this

An Inconvenient Truth. Moon Mansions

Did i tell you i saw An Inconvenient Truth? its an interesting topic and all, but Al Gore can make an orgasm boring. Well, i think after you see that you should watch who killed the electric car.. then commit suicide. What it says basicly, is that in 50 years we'll all be under water and the electric cars, technology and legislation that could have helped stop it was halted, on purpose, so some assholes could get more rich.

what good is being rich when the planet is underwater you might ask? well with all that oil money they are going to buy moon mansions.

its pretty depressing.
